Privacy Policy

Effective June 16, 2026

The short version

  • Not saved

    What you type to work something out is not stored.

  • On-device

    Voice transcription runs on your phone; audio never leaves it.

  • Never trained

    Your words are used only to write your message back to you.

  • Real deletion

    Remove a rewrite, or your whole account, whenever you want.

Tildi helps you say hard things clearly. Because those messages are personal, privacy isn’t a setting here — it’s the design. This policy explains, plainly, what we collect, what we don’t, and the choices you have. If anything is unclear, email privacy@tildi.app.

Information we collect

Account information

If you create an account, we store the identifier you sign in with (such as your email address or an Apple-provided identifier). We use it to authenticate you and sync your saved rewrites across your devices.

Rewrites you save

When you choose to keep a rewrite, it is stored in your History until you delete it. The messy draft you started from is not stored. If you never sign in, your activity is not associated with an account.

The text you ask us to rewrite

To generate a rewrite, the text you submit is sent securely to our AI provider for processing and returned to you. It is processed only to produce your rewrite and is not used to train any model.

Limited diagnostics

We may collect minimal, aggregated technical information (such as crash reports and basic usage counts) to keep the app working. This is not used to identify you and never includes the content of your messages.

What we do not collect

  • We do not store your drafts.
  • We do not record or upload your voice; transcription is on-device.
  • We do not sell your data, and we do not run third-party ad tracking.
  • We do not build advertising profiles from your messages.

How we use information

We use the limited information above only to:

  • generate the rewrites you request;
  • keep your saved History available and synced;
  • provide support when you contact us;
  • keep the service secure and working, and meet legal obligations.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf under contract, only as needed to run Tildi:

  • Apple — sign-in and subscription billing through the App Store.
  • Supabase — authentication and secure storage of your account and saved rewrites.
  • Anthropic — the AI model that generates your rewrites. Text sent for a rewrite is not used to train their models.

Data retention & deletion

Saved rewrites remain until you delete them. Deleting a rewrite removes it from your History. Deleting your account removes your account and associated data from our systems. You can start an account deletion in the app under Settings, or on our Delete your data page. Backups and legally required records may persist for a limited period before being purged.

Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise these rights in the app or by emailing privacy@tildi.app. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to stored data is restricted and scoped to your account. No system is perfectly secure, but we design Tildi to hold as little of your sensitive content as possible — the best way to protect a draft is never to store it.

Children

Tildi is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we use appropriate safeguards for that transfer.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Tildi after a change means you accept the updated policy.
